After leaving the first part of my senior year, I moved to Illinois and graduated early from a school there. I joined the Air Force in August of 1980 and met my husband at my first duty station in Rhein Main Germany (outside of Franfurt). We ended up in southern California for a few years before moving to Florida (where my parents had moved to). Lived in Florida until the end of 2001 when I had a job offered to me in Myrtle Beach South Carolina working for a television station as a Network Administrator and Engineer. After talking to the family, and several trips to South Carolina, we moved the day after Christmas! I have three children, Jacqueline (Jackie) who is 20 and is currently in the Air Force and station in Oklahoma City Oklahoma, Amber who is 17 and is already planning her college carrer, the youngest is Anthony who is 12 and ALL BOY! Own three horses, one I currently am showing competitive dressage, and another I am training to be my future dressage prospect (he is only a year old!), the last horse is the family horse to ride on.I would love to hear from anyone from the class (if anyone remembers me!) When I moved I lost touch with everyone there.

Hello everyone from 1980. I didn't know this site even existed or that we had a reunion. My husband Shawn and I live in Bristolville, OH with our two girls Shannon (17) and Janelle (15) I've been married for 20 years now and that's pretty something considering that I met and married him in 3 months time. We live down here in Ohio (absolutely hate it down here) and I work for a trucking company part time. I stayed at home to homeschool our two girls for 10 years before returning to work. It was nice finding this site, have always wondered what became of everyone.

Well it's been a rather long time since I've seen alot of you. My life has been stange as expected lol :). After high school I kicked around a bit in the Punk Rock scene made alot of friends and sadly lost alot of friends to their various vices :(. Went to Art School for a bit and then shucked that and hung out in LA and NYC for a bit. Came back home cos of my parents poor health and helped them out. However managed to have a stay in the Fiji Islands in the late 80's that resulted in my first marriage in 1989. We had one child Seth in 1990 and we divorced in 1994. My father had passed away in 1991 and due to my mother having Parkinson's Disease I had to stay with her to help her out for many years while also raising my son. During this time I stayed productive working on my Art and Music. Thank God for the internet as it enabled me to sell art and music to people all around the world well caring for my mother and raising my son. During the late 90s I was running a website called Gothic Michigan for Gothic and Experimental Musicans that gained for me alot of access and exposure world wide with in the Gothic and Experimental music communities. I also formed my own record company called 5 Spiders Media, which is currently in a transtition phase due to my latest move (details below). If you would like to listen to what I have been working on, here is one of my sites with free mp3s you can download http://www.mp3.com.au/MarkGordonBrown (giving you my free site cos giving you my pay site would be rather tacky) My Mother passed away in March of 2003 and my son went to live with his mother shortly after. In July of 2004 I met my beautiful new wife Brenda from Medicine Hat Alberta Canada and I sold my house and moved to Medicine Hat and we were married May 2004. We own a pet supply store and nature gift shop. Since we are both artists we spend alot of time working on art and are very involved in the Art communty here. This summer we both won awards at a art exhibition and currently have a gallery show called Fins and Feathers exhibiting examples of both are artwork dealing with Birds and Fish. I am also still working on my music and will have 5 Spiders Media back up and running s as soon as I work out tax and legal stuff here in Canada. My latest endeavor and passion is making vivariums (little eco systems a terrarium aquarium mix) and breeding various types of frogs and lizards . Red Eyed Tree Frogs, Mantellas, and Dendrobates (or Poison Arrow Frogs),, anoles and day geckos. My wife is very understanding about this and the idea is growing on her more and more. Hey these things are so damn cute you gotta love them. We're both really into animals. We're also building an aviary at the moment. So mostly my days are still spent making strange art and music. My son may or may not move to Medicine Hat in the future. I am letting him make that decision. But he visits on holidays. I hope that despite all the ups and downs of life you all had alot more ups and learned to appreciate both the ups and the downs (they define us) and everyone that you hold dear. I haven't made a reunion yet (my son was about ready to be born, on the first one and I was out of town on the second one) but maybe the next one. Any wants to write me feel free at mark_0945@yahoo.com

Viva Las Vegas, and always love to hear from people! Still in the Theatre. Currently working for the Library District (really) and the Imperial Palace ("Legends in Concert"). Many of the libraries here have Performing Arts Centers and I bounce around between them doing shows, recitals, lectures, concerts.... (I did Barbra Streisand, and must metion Bob Segar, the Stones, Phil Collins..... This was when I was at the MGM.) I've been here almost a decade and liking it more and more every year. It has been quite a change, but I bought a home here, so I guess I'm staying a while! I still haven't "settled down", technically, but i do have two lovely girls Alexis(14) and Puddin'(11), but they are felines(Looks like Hugh is probably going to be the one that provides the heirs for the family). If your ever in my neighborhood, and everybody comes here once, give me a call...I'm in the book...or drop me an E-mail and we'll do lunch! (Mom and Glenn are still on the Farm....honk when you drive by!)

It is unbelievable that 20 years have gone by. After my parents uprooted me from Lapeer during our senior year, I spent many hours working in my dad's store before escaping with a local guy who joined the Air Force. We spent 3 years in Florida and 2 years in New York, had two great children: Erin, who is 13 and Jeremy, who is 12. I've been divorced for 10 years. Being a single mother hasn't always been a barrel of fun, but my kids are great! I work for a small law firm in Grayling as a legal secretary. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone this summer at the reunion. I'd love to hear from you: dcaverly@voyager.net

Hello, everybody. It's great to read about what you all are doing. After high school, I went to U-M and lived in Ann Arbor for too many years, and received a bachelor's in Music, and a Master's in Russian Linguistics. The moved to Iowa and taught Russian at a liberal arts college, where I met my wife, Dori. Then decided that teaching was not my gig, so got my MBA at Indiana University, and worked in Washington DC for Bell Atlantic. Recently moved back to Michigan (for the weather) after our daughter Alexandra was born, and now work as an international market researcher for Alticor Corporation -- formerly Amway -- in Grand Rapids.

We don't have any kids but our geriatric diabetic schnauzer and a cat is plenty! We have a cottage in the U.P. that we love. My beautiful 16 year-old niece is currently attending Lapeer East High School.

After school I moved to Atlanta, GA and started a new life. I got into bodybuilding for a year to slim down. I love to Scuba. I am currently married to a gentlemen I met in Atlanta but is originally from Youngstown, OH (Steve). I have become a Professional Bowler which I enjoy immensely. I am still living in Atlanta, GA and my sister (Barbara) is living here with her 3 children, 14, 12 and 5. I have no children at this time. However, I do have three little girls (Shelties) named Minx, Sadie and Zoyie. (My favorite one (Sable) died 1 1/2 ago). Before professional bowling I had been working at the Holiday Inn Headquarters here in Atlanta as query reporting off the mainframe. I am looking to here when we are having a reunion because I missed all/any that have been in the past.

Graduated from Ferris in 1984 (Criminal Justice), then worked as a police officer/detective/commander in Farmington from 1984-2001. In 2001 I finally finished an M.S. degree from Eastern and fled the Big City, taking my wife Jane (Livonia native, m. 1990) and three children (Deborah, b. 1992; Matthew, b. 1994; and Nicholas, b. 1997). Now running the Criminal Justice program at West Shore Community College near Ludington. This is the promised land! A couple of nights ago I finally cleaned out the last box of things that left home with me in 1980. What a treasure of memories: Velvet and Celeste in the Miss Lapeer pageant, our basketball team undefeated, our band the best in the state . . . I'm so glad I came across this site and had a chance to see what so many are (or were)up to.

I am currently residing in Wichita, Kansas (actually, I think I've taken root; been here for almost 15 years). I am currently employed as a Field Service Engineer for Audio International, a manufacturer of entertainment systems for business aircraft. I do a lot of traveling but never get to see much since I never seem to get very far from the airport. I attended college in Arkansas and graduated in 1984, then moved to Dallas, Texas for a year and a half (too many people!!). Moved to Wichita in 1985 to get into the aircraft industry as an avionics engineer, and have been stuck ever since. I got married to Lori, whom I met in college, in 1984, and we have 2 children: Nicole (13) and Nathan (11).I try to get back to Lapeer at least once every couple of years to see my folks. I am hoping to make it to the 20th reunion, if there is one.

I hadn't realized it had been so long since I'd been on the site. Dan Dellar tracked me down recently, and it was a reminder that I needed to check you all out again. A lot has changed in my life, so here's my update (December 2007). I missed the 20th reunion due to a job emergency that sent me to Europe the same week as the reunion (I was bummed). Maybe I'll make one someday. Anyway, in January 2001 my Mom passed away. I saw several old friends at her funeral, but since then I haven't been back to MI much (actually, only once). My Dad is still in Lapeer and remarried, but we make him do the traveling since our lives are so hectic!! My wife (Lori) and I still live in Wichita, KS. Been married since 1984 and have 2 adult kids (Nicole born in 1987 and a junior in college, Nathan born in 1988 and working for American Airlines for the time being). I spent 20 years working in various engineering capacities in the business aircraft industry (avionics, electrical systems, interiors, entertainment and cabin control systems). I am currently employed as Director of Technical Ministries at Westlink Christian Church here in Wichita. Basically, I am a staff engineer for all things related to audio, video, and lighting (thank you Mr. Hines for introducing me to this stuff!!). I guess that about wraps up the package. I'd love to hear from anyone still out there.

who would have thought I would wind up in HELL? well that is where I now live, Hell, Michigan. How did this happen?? After I took the seven year route to a degree from MSU that I never actually used, I wound up working in the hospitality industry for several years, and that included a WONDERFUL two summers living on Mackinac Island. But these low paying jobs drove me to seek something more lucrative, so in 1997 I bought a fledgling chess store in Ann Arbor and turned it into "Chess Express". I turned the store into a profitable retail store and also started a profitable website, www.chessexpress.com. I sold the entire business in 2000 to one of my employees. To this day you can go and visit www.chessexpress.com and see the website I created. Since 2000, I have focused on teaching chess to children in Ann Arbor. I currently teach about 200 children and my students have been very successful at domininating Michigan and National tournaments. I have been self employed from chess since 1997. In 2004, I bought a beat down old summer cabin in Hell, Michigan. It is a diamond in the rough, as the view is spectacular and I border state lands. I love my little slice of Heaven right here in Hell. It is about a 30 minute commute for me to Ann Arbor. I am unmarried with no children, but I have a wonderful girlfriend who is a published writer and teaches Latin American History at Albion College.

Graduated from Ferris State with an Associates Degree as a Medical Lab Technician, but don't work in the field anymore. Married John Hicks (East '79) in 1984 and have three children. Paul is almost 14 and a freshman at Lapeer West - he's a talented musician on the bass clarinet (like his dad played!) and is finishing his Eagle Scout. Kari is 11 and starting 6th grade at Schickler. She plays flute, reads constantly and is the brainiac of the group. Bobby is 5, starting kindergarten at Irwin, and trying to keep up with the big kids! I spend my time driving kids to music lessons, etc. and have a home business doing transcriptions for two insurance investigators. John is the systems administrator at Health Plus and starting a computer consulting business on the side. We moved to Lapeer almost 4 years ago after living in Attica for 12 years. Love this database and looking forward to a 20 year reunion!

I am enjoying staying home and taking care of my family. My husband, Dave paints and repairs vehicles and we just purchased a 1999 Chevy Venture Van that had been in a "slight" accident and he is doing all the bumping and painting and than we'll finally have a van for our growing family. Hi all, just took at look and realized it had been three years since I logged on. My husband and I have been married and living in the area for 27 1/2 years. Our children three, our son Zach, daughter Lindsey, and daughter Whitney are grown; thriving, and living on their own. Lindsey and her significant other bought a house a year ago January and on June 9, 2007, Dennis and I became grandparents to a beautiful little baby named Josie. She is the highlight of our lives. On October 20, 2007 our youngest daughter who by the way is 22, had a beautiful wedding in Frankenmuth. She looked beautiful and her and our new son in law are living in Columbiaville. They own their own home too. And we just recently found out that they will be giving us another grandchild in the fall. Life couldn't get much better. I am not working at the time, just enjoying my grandchild. We have a travel trailer and enjoy traveling and camping all summer. During the winter we try to get to Florida and Phoenix for couple of weeks. I have a myspace account and you can see pictures of my family and myself. My e-mail address is noraswihart@yahoo.com feel free to e-mail me any time.

I currently live in Colorado Springs with my husband Darrell (LEHS 1982) and our daughter Katie (13). We've been here 8 years and love it! I also have two grown children who live back in Michigan. Sarah (24) lives in Clio and works in Lapeer for Dr. Harris and Mike (23) lives in Lansing and works for the government. I am a loan officer for a locally owned bank and really enjoy my work. My husband is an avid outdoorsman, so living in Colorado is perfect for him. Our daughter Katie is heavily involved in girls lacrosse and plays almost year round on several teams. As a family we love skiing, golfing, and just about any other outdoor activity. I would love to hear from former classmates and catch up.
