I currently work for a contract company for GM, I have a great girlfried and a lovely soon to be three year old daughter with her. | 1981 | Brown, Marcia | 3/22/2003 at 7:06:50 PM | Wow, it's 1:38am here in Traverse City and I've just been reading about what my class has been up to since we all played together and suffered together at Lapeer East. Man, a lot of us went into the military--I had no idea. I wonder why that is. I worked for a year after high school as a teacher's aide in an adult ed. program. When the funds for our program were cut (due to failure to pass a millage, go figure) I decided the "helping professions" weren't going to get me anywhere and joined the Marine Corps. A rash decision, but it turned out all right. I learned how to do office work and found a husband. Heh. We ended up splitting up, but not before bringing two amazing individuals into this world. Geez, they're 18 and 14 now, how did that happen??After my enlistment was up, I worked at various office jobs, banks, etc. Then I found my true calling when I worked at a group home for mentally impaired adults. I have been working in special education ever since, and now I work for Great Lakes Community Mental Health as a... let's see... how can I make this sound as exciting and impressive as the resume-like descriptions of work I've been reading about my classmates... nope--won't work. I work as a mental health aide to a little girl who has autism plus several medical issues. Funny how that little sentence doesn't come close to describing what this little creature is all about. I think of myself as her Fairy Godmother.I have been perpetually two semesters away from a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, Language Arts emphasis, from Grand Valley State University. Then I'll get a Masters in Special Education, probably PPI. Does anyone remember me? |

This was accomplished aboard two nuclear powered ballistic missile submarines(U.S.S Benjamin Franklin and U.S.S. Henry Clay) After making America safe for 5 years, I moved to Virginia. This is also where I met my beautiful wife, Julie. We will celibrate our 20th wedding anniversary this January. We are proud parents to 4 girls and 2 boys, ages range between 19 and 5 years. Two are in college in a small university in Ohio. I am a CAD draftsman for a small construction company just outside of Washington, D.C. Julie is a Registered Nurse. Hope you all have had a great life so far, I know that I have. We had a great time at the twentieth reunion, and look forward to number thirty! |

The East Science Dept. may be surprised to hear that Iam working on a Masters Degree in Secondary Science Ed. because I want toteach when I grow up (the thrill of causing massive devastation will, nodoubt, wear out). Ron "Flostog" Garrison has remained my best frienddispite the miles that are between us (hey, I feel sorry for the guy). Istill play bassoon for my church orchestra and get my kicks riding my Honda1100cc Shadow when I'm not producing a fine batch of home-brew (and who saidyou'd never use chemestry after graduation!). |

I'm working for a company named Southern Energy Homes, their a Manufactured Homes Company.I'm working with my husband as Service Technicians. We travel to different states to do repair services on these homes. I figured since my husband and I were away from each other for about 2 years while he was serving our country in Iraq! That I would go to work with him and travel!!! I haven't been back to Lapeer since graduation, but I am hoping to in August of this year. |

My wife Elaine & I now have 4 children - Erin (10), Greogory (7), Jordan (5) and Sydney (2). I've worked for the same company (used to be TRW - Now Northrop Grumman) for the past 18 years as an Electrical Engineer (digital board and FPGA design). I made it back to Lapeer last October to help celebrate Dave Burch's wedding. And in case you wondering - I still brew a much better beer than Greg "Hooch" Calhoun could ever dream of producing. Please pray for Greg, his family and his crew as he supports our troops overseas. |

I had my 1st baby in March of 1999, his name is Joshua and he's absolutely beautiful! In recent years I have excelled in Computer Network Systems and received my MCSE certification from Microsoft. My husband works for BMC Software, a huge software development company (but their stock isn't doing so good!) I'm currently staying at home with my son and loving every minute of it! |

I am currently getting ready to deploy overseas after the holidays. |

I am employed at Mclaren Health Care corp and I am also an Emergency MedicalTechnician. This past year has been a true test, as I discovered late in 1999 that I had Breast Cancer. Although the prognosis is for a full recovery, the road to wellness is a long one. I am currently undergoing chemotherapy andradiation therapy and hope to be in full remission by late summer. My family and friends have truly been a blessing.Although I do not know where this path will take me I do know that I am destined for greater things. My life will not be defined by this alone and for all of you who know me, You"ll know this is true. Take care of yourselves and the ones you love. |

I am also a part-time substitue teacher at our local high school. Would you beleieve that i actually prefer the teenagers to the little ones. I have a 16 year old daughter that is a junior in high school and will graduate in 2000 and my husband and I are very active in her sports schedule. She plays softball and basketball. She is a much better basketball player than her mother was and will probably go on to play some college ball. I still tinker with cars. Mostly everybodys but mine. I have been sending myself to school on and off over the years. Most recently to flight school were I was certified for a private pilot's license 2 years ago. I am married now to Julie, who I meet through a singles ad I had in the Metro Times. She is an art and photography high school teacher in Rochester. We are blessed with a daughter Jillian who will be 2 in September. And she has more red hair then me! |
