After HS, went to WMU, graduated in 1993 with BS in Aviation Sci. Got Hired by the FAA after my 2nd year at college and went to work as an air traffic controller. Started in Saginaw, move after 1 1/2 years to Tulsa, Oklahoma. Spent almost 12 years there. I am now working in Louisville, KY. Got married in 1994. Have a daughter. She is in Jr high and is a 2nd degree black belt and junior instructor in TaeKwonDo. We enjoy traveling and camping, but gas priced have slowed that down a little. When we do camp, we really rough it in our fifth wheel(see link below). Most of our travels entail scuba diving. Cozumel, Mexico is our favorite place to dive, but there is A LOT of water out there to explore. Our other 'hobby' is motorcycling. Wish I could make the 20 year reunion, but I am unable to get that weekend off. After a year, I realized I had an old, invalid email listed here, so... If you tried to email me over the last year, I did not get it, but I should now. Please email and I will respond. View our photo album (link below) to see some pictures of our journeys. I wish more people would update their information.

My life has settled down over the past few years. I still live in Port Huron. I re-married last year. I am working as a Human Resources Director and currently looking to start a web design company.(someday I'll figure out what I want to be when I grow up). We spend our summers camping and our winters hibernating. We now have 5 kids between us ranging from 13 to 5 yrs old. So life is... hmmmmm... kid activities. Running here and there. Anyway, I guess I'll stop back in another 3 yrs to update this thing again..lol

I am still single and living in central Florida. My cousin moved down here a couple of years ago so now I have family down here as well. I was accepted into the nursing program at the local college so I quit my job last August and started school full time. The strange part about being in school now is that I actually enjoy it and spend most of my time studying. Better late than never!I have started working at one of the nearby hospitals as a Nurse Tech I which is really nice. It's good to be making money again. To think after all these years I am going to be a nurse when I grow up. I spend most of my time studying now but when I do take a break I usually spend time on the internet or making jewelry. Occassionally I make it to the beach to enjoy the sun, sand, and surf. I am glad to see that everybody is doing well and I wish you all the best.

I am in the middle of my 12th year of teaching/ coaching here at New Prairie Jr. High here in New Carlisle,Indiana. I am still living in Indiana, and enjoying life with my daughter Kennedy who is 6. In March of 2001, I was widowed when my husband Todd passed away suddenly from an unknown illness. After much time, prayer, and healing I have been able to move on in my life and began dating again. Never intending, or wanting to marry again after such a devistating loss, God blessed me with different plans for my life. I married my husband Tim on July 9, 2005. I spend a lot of my time taking my daughter to her different athletic events and doing some running and working out myself as well as singing, which may be a suprise to many, as that was not an route I pursued in high school, but did in college with voice. I have sung/sing for many weddings, funerals, church functions and other celebrations as well as the national anthem for several ball games. My husband Tim and I just had his first child (my second) a girl, Kamdyn, born on July 8th, 2006 - the day before our 1st anniversary. I hope that all is well with everyone. It would be great to hear from old friends and teammates. Drop me a line if you have the time. Take Care timandjenhock@hotmail.com

Wow! It's been a few years since I updated, so here goes. I am still the office manager for a small wholesale perennial nursery in North Branch, going on 10 years now. I married Jeff Hofert (East '84) in March of 1997. We built a house in North Branch and love living in the country. In October of 1999 we had a daughter, Allison. She is in 3rd grade and loves school, soccer and horses. We thought for a long time that she would be our only child, but 5 years later in September of 2004 we welcomed a second daughter, Emma. This one keeps us hopping! She will start preschool in the fall and thinks she is much bigger than she actually is! I still stay in touch with a few people from school and there are many I would like to find as well. Looking forward to the 20 year reunion, it should be interesting. :) If anyone would like to get in touch with me, my email is jlhofert@msn.com

Wow, where to start? What a long strange trip it's been. After (getting) high school I went to the lovely campus and college of Ferris State. That lasted all of about two years fifty seven days four hours thirty two minutes twelve seconds and twenty six thousand brain cells. I then transfered to EMU which lasted a lot less. I accidently got into a fight with the football team and thought to be in my best intrest to leave town. I loaded up the truck and headed west. I ended up in Hoolywood for a short stint till taking back to the road following the grateful dead. Lots of fun , but the money just wasn't there. One can only make so much selling ballons and grilled cheese & mushroom sandwitches. Made it back to Lapeer some time in 92 or 93. Landed a great job as a tooth fairy, but like a true drunk I knew I would never be happy until I owned my own bar. I opened Timothy's Pub in downtown Lapeer in october of 98. Things are going well. Stop by for a drink or ten I'll be there. Oh, if any of you are planning to get married any time soon I am also an ordained minister of the Universal Life Church in Woodland California. I'm still single but looking so send your resume and photos to ; 315 W. Nepessing Lapeer MI 48446. Well it was real nice not talking to you, and remember god loves you baby! PEACE !!!

I haven't seen too many fellow grads in many years, but I'm looking forward to seeing all of you, if we have a ten year reunion. By the time anyone reads this I will be living with a cute redhead, Kerry, from North Branch, and we'll be getting married in June of 1999. Hope to see y'all this Summer

Wow! Twenty years! How the time has flown yet the party of life has continued. Haven't really spent a lot of time in one place. Got my B.A. in Sociology from U of M and found myself as a social worker in Port Huron, a secretary in New York, a personal trainer (with my own business) in Royal Oak, running around Europe for a couple of years, an Admissions Director in Warren, and, finally, with my husband of a year, a Buckeye, even, working with mentally ill kids in Missouri. Have three "children" of the furry four-legged variety. Along the way had an opportunity for an...interesting...visit in Chicago with Tim. Sara, if you're still in Overland Park, we're neighbors, I live north of KC. Hope all is well with everyone. I'll be back at the beer tent again, some day, for Lapeer Days!

Graduated from Western Michigan in 1992. Took 2 years off of school before going back to The Ohio State University to get my Doctor of Optometry - graduated in 1998. Got married in July 1998 to my boyfriend of 8 years, Rob from Waterford, who waited patiently (or impatiently) for me to finish 8 years of school, first in Kalamazoo then in Columbus, Ohio (all the while he lived in Lake Orion). We now live in the Grand Blanc/Goodrich area and I work as an optometrist at General Optical in Flint and Burton. If anyone needs an optometrist, look me up. Rob owns an excavating company in Clarkston. The most recent and most exciting change in our lives was the birth of my precious baby boy, Jacob. He was born July 1999. I can't imagine life without him.

Let me see, where to begin? Spent every minute in High School causing trouble and finding it. Finally got out of there and look back now and wish I could do it again differently. But it all worked out. Spent a few years working in a RV dealership and a lumber yard and decided I couldn't do that for the rest of my life. So I joined the Air Force. It was just what I needed, a forced education. I got paid to study electronics, satellite communications and computers. The Air Force sent me on some nice bullet and bug filled vacations around the world. Ended up as an Air Force Instructor teaching Electronic and Computer Networking for Air Education and Training Command. After nine years, I got out, Moved to rural Mississippi. I am now A nature and wildlife photographer and live just inside the Tombigbee National Forest. Check out my website below.

I loved reading everyone's news. I laughed, I cryed. It is very obvious I'm not the only one to leave Michigan. After graduation, I went to Grand Rapids, MI for two years and attended Grand Rapids Baptist College. I moved back home in December of 1990. Went to U of M-Flint for awhile and then my family moved to Tennessee so my dad could work for Saturn. I joined them in 1992 after refusing to move such a place and vowing to never marry a farmer. Well, I got married in December 27, 1995, to Kelvin Shores, a one of a kind man, in Manchester, Tennessee. We live on a 76 acre farm in Hillsboro, Tennessee, and have two "children"--a 10 month old black lab named Koda and a 2 year old tabby cat named coon :)Kelvin and I graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 1995 with a Bachelor's degree and from Tennessee Technological University with our Master's. We were considering to start our Ed.S. this past fall, but decided we needed a break. I teach 2nd grade at Hickerson Elementary School in Tullahoma, TN and Kelvin is a 6th grade math and science teacher at Coffee County Middle School.Even though my extended family still lives in Michigan, we don't get back much to visit. Kelvin wasn't very impressed with what he saw the last time we were there. I do miss the snow. We haven't had hardly any since I've lived here. No snow for Christmas!!Would love to hear from old friends!--shoresks@cafes.net

Hi guys!!!! This has been so much fun reading about everyone, but I must say we need some UPDATES!!!!! Okay, here's mine. I worked a few places after high school. I was in and out of college several times (changed my major at least 6 times). Finally met my hubby in 1989 and we were married in 1993. I finished my nursing degree and worked at Genesys Health Park in the Trauma Center as an RN for about 4 years. In 1999 we had our first child a son named Noah. He was born with a congenital heart defect and died when he was just 10 weeks old. :( We finally had another child, a daughter, Emma in 2001 and I decided to stay home with her instead of returning to work. We had another son, Nolan, in 2003 and I'm still at home saying that "some day" I'll go back! My mom still lives in the area and is a wonderful grandma (for those of you that knew here I'm sure you knew she would be). Life is really going well!!!!! Thinking of all of you!!!!! margaret

Since '88, I've traveled quite a bit. Lived in Illinios for 1 yr, Texas for 5 yrs, England for 5 months, Germany for 4 yrs. Been in 8 countries and 36 states...still counting. I now live near Sacramento, California with my wife, Leasa. Unfortunately, we usually stick to the West coast, the mid-West, Europe, or the United Kingdom...all of which are nowhere near Michigan, so we don't visit very often. Next time I am in town though, I'm going to check out Tim's Bar...

Who would have thought that we would be running the country... yeah right. Tell you about my life. Got out of town like most of you. I moved to Florida and learned life's little secrets. Moved around Ohio, New York, Washington, Nevada and California. Meet my wife Nancy in Reno, NV we were married in May of 1998. No children yet. We now live in North West Arkansas (yeap the home of the evil Walmart). I make custom furniture, but also do home improvements if the price is right. I have been to Lapeer twice once when my mother survived a brain aneurism and again just to visit last year. We don't really like the area and will be moving west to Denver Colorado or Boise Idaho in the next year or two.

Drop me a line to catch up. I get back to Lapeer more now to visit the Muir Clan.

Still married to Rhonda (Dixon) 11 years. We live in Oxford,MI still. Just had another baby named Lena. She is our 3rd girl. Jenny (9) and Erin (5) are doing well also. Erin was excited because Lena was born on her birthday! I'm still working in Southfield as a truck broker. Rhonda is teaching at Turrill Elementary in Lapeer (5th grade). That's about it, email me if you'd like some time.

Since graduation it hasn't been easy, at least not psychologically. Because of my social and economic status I always felt I might have fit in better at Lapeer West and had more friends and girlfriends. I worked for awhile as a trash collector in before getting laid off and wandering the streets of Lapeer, sleeping under park benches. When not trying to land another waste management job, my interests/fascinations include: movies, music, books, writing, enjoying a beer with friends, and pushing myself with physical challenges (e.g., I walked across the state one summer). I enjoy my job but would prefer to do my own writing full time. I miss a handful of my former classmates, and wonder where some of them are. I guess with time those memories become more distant. Somehow the above profile seemed more interesting than something more standard, like: I am an accountant, I have two kids a dog and a canary, I married so and so (you remember, she was on the tennis team), I drive a Dodge Stratus. But anyone wanting more details can certainly write. Hey, I'll see you around. Hopefully I'll even say hi. -dz “If a kiss is not the truth, at least it’s what we wish were the truth.” --LA Story
