



010- Art I- 2 Credits
The basic elements and principles of art and art history are taught; application of these principles involve experiences with a wide variety of media from charcoal to computers. Successful completion of this course, is required before taking any advanced courses.
020- Two-Dimensional Art- 2 Credits
A study of two-dimensional art may include drawing, painting, printmaking, and creative computer graphics.
030- Pottery- 1 Credit
A study of functional pottery, learning the various hand-building techniques as well as using the potter’s wheel. Glazing techniques will also be studied.
031- Sculpture-1 Credit
A study of three dimensional problems in art: additive and subtractive methods
040 – Commercial Art- 2 credits
A course of study for art students who plan to pursue careers in commercial art. This course will give students experience in the diverse areas of commercial work, post-graduate educational perspectives, and presentation skills. Airbrush and computer graphics techniques may be included.
050- Studio Art Y- 2 Credits
The student electing studio art must have a genuine interest and ability in a specialized art area. Each student will be responsible for setting goals with approval and guidance from the instructor. Art portfolio development will be a prime focus. Upon instructors approval students may take studio art more then once.
051- Studio Arts- 1 Credit
