Of course our library has books...lots and lots of books (18,338 to be exact).  There are paperbacks and hard covers, fiction and non-fiction, graphic novels, reference books, biographies, short stories, career books and more!

MAGAZINES

The library subscribes to 45 magazines -- everything from Career World to Transworld Motocross -- and 4 newspapers.  Magazines can be used for leisure reading and are checked out just like books.  Lapeer East students also have access to thousands of magazine articles online (see Online Databases above).

There are 24 computers in the library for student use with access to Office 2000, Encarta Encyclopedia, and MOIS, a career exploration program.  In addition the library has CD programs such as Titanic, A.D.A.M.: The Inside Story, and Castle Explorer.  Six more computers are dedicated to the library's collection which is searchable by title, author, subject, call number, and keyword.
VIDEOS We have a small, but growing, collection of videos.  They can be checked out for one week.
