Applied mathematics is oriented toward application and practive of mathematics concepts and skills in hands on laboratories and practical, world of work problems. Based on an integrated prsentation of topics in arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, probability, estimation, and problem solving, Applied Mathematics develops and refines job-related math skills. This sequence is for students bound for a community college or tech school.
Integrated mathematics is for students who want the content of an Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II series with a cooperatice group, hands on approach. This sequence can meet the needs of students seeking a non-math/science college degree if all four years are completed. Cooperative learning, everyday problems, connections between different branches of mathematics, technology, and writing are incorporated in this series.
College Preparatory is for students who want a thorough theoretical mathematics foundation. This sequence is recommended for students bound for a university.
